Bank Account Verification - SEPAmail

The Bank Account Verification service enables you to verify if a person’s IBAN belongs to an existing account owned by that person.

The verification process is very straightforward and consists of the following steps:

1. Send the IBAN OR Send a Bank Account Details Document along with the expected holder's details.
2. Receive the verification results once the verification is done. You can obtain the response via a webhook or by calling a dedicated endpoint.

The verification is done by the SEPAmail DIAMOND network.

SEPAmail DIAMOND is a network that aggregates data from several French banks, allowing a match verification between a bank account and an account holder.

As a consequence, only IBANs that belong to a bank that is a member of the SEPAmail DIAMOND network can be verified.

Additionally, any outage of the Sepamail DIAMOND network induces delay on our part, as we wait for the network to become available again. Such outage always impact every service provider using this network.
