Document fields are fields which are not linked to a specific Signer.

There is one kind of document field: Read-only Text Field.

Read-only Text field

A Read-only Text field represents a text field that you can add to a document and that won't be editable by anyone. It's a way to add short text content to your document.

A Read-only Text field can only be added to a Signature Request in draft status.

Read-only Text fields will be displayed as shown below to the Signer.
