Sandbox recipient validation enforced for Freemium and Trial organisations
Starting today, Signature Requests and reminders created in the sandbox environment by Freemium and Trial organisations can only be sent to members of their own organisation.
As a Trust Service Provider, we apply strict safeguards to prevent any misuse of our platform. This restriction stops the sandbox from being used to send unsolicited emails to external recipients, and protects the deliverability and reputation of emails sent through Yousign for all customers.
What is changing?
When a Freemium or Trial organisation creates a Signature Request or triggers a reminder in sandbox, all recipient email addresses (Signers, Approvers, Followers) are validated against the organisation's active users.
Does this affect you?
- Paid plans : no change. Sandbox behavior is fully preserved.
- Freemium and Trial organisations: you can keep testing complete signature flows by using the email addresses of your organisation's users as recipients.
If your team has a legitimate need to send sandbox emails to external recipients in Trial, contact our support to request an exemption for your organisation.
